this collage is supposed to show disorganization but yet organized. I actually grew fond of this.

Polygon Project

The strongest technical aspect of my work is pen, eye dropper, and paint bucket tools which I used in order to create different sizes of triangles. I used the eye dropper and the paint bucket to create the many different shades of blue and purple within this body and fur. The technical aspect of my work that can be improved on is the size of my triangles and how they are supposed to always touch each other. This art activity was easy in creating the different triangles and matching the colors to make the purple spots completely visible.

The most difficult thing about this art activity was choosing the image because every character from Monsters Inc. that I chose seemed to either not work for one reason or another, whether it was all one color so not visible or too small to use. I demonstrate the objective by honoring the values in the art project, in order to see the bright blues and purples, along with my bright purple background. If I could do this art activity again, then I would have chose an image with many more colors to create a more in detail and in-depth image.

Painting

The strongest technical aspect of this project was changing of the opacities, using different kinds of brushes to create, use of the pen tool, and add texture to the image. Also creating new layers for each section of the image. The technical aspect of my work that could be improved upon is the grouping of my layers to make it more organized, and adding more texture. Also another thing is to not make it as choppy on the corners and squared with the pen tool. The easiest part of this assignment was choosing the colors based on the first image with the eye dropper. This was easy to match to the original image and new painting.

What was difficult about this art activity, was using the pen tool and properly deselecting in order to fill in the color, and choose a different texture with the brush tool. Another hard part was trying to find a picture that was a black and white painting, that interested me and was a large image, and not pixelated online. I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by making it look like a painting, with all types of different brushes. To the best of my ability. If I could do this art activity again, I would choose an easier image. Mainly because the small spaces and many shades of whites and grays are hard to fill in with colors that show up and create an effective shadow.

Pop Art

The strongest technical aspect of my work is the use of the mask tool. I used this in order to create a new layer of colors for each body part. The technical aspect of my work that can be improved upon is the desaturation because her eyes are extremely black and her hair is also very pixelated. I could improve this by changing the amount of desaturation, by increasing or decreasing it. The easiest part of this art activity was choosing the colors of each body part layer.

The most difficult part of this art activity was choosing the image because finding a large image that was not drag and dropped into PhotoShop pixelated was hard. I ended up also having to switch the image from a different image of her face, that was pixelated. I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by using the most vibrant and bright, neon colors I could find because the way I understood the name Pop Art was to make her pop. For this reason, I used a hot pink background, a mint green on her shirt, and a bright blue eye shadow to make the colors pop off of her pale face with her very dark hair. If I could do this art activity again, I would have done the desaturation differently possibly, and definitely would have used different colors because the the green and pink do not match very well. Also the pale skin works well with them but other than that, it creates an even more flat surface for her eyes to sit on.

Hybrid Animal

The strongest aspect of my hybrid animal was the use of the clone stamp tool, and the changing of opacity to spread the peacock pattern onto the horse. This is the strongest aspect because it is the most significantly shown throughout the piece. The technical aspect of this piece that needed to be improved on is using the blend tool because it does not show up enough throughout my piece on the horse. It can be improved upon the horse and around his head with the peacock pattern. The easiest part about this art project was erasing the background, not selecting the images because you had to make sure the could work together and the old background was irrelevant and could be erased, right off the bat. Finding a new background was not easy either because it also had to match one of the animals and blend with the other too.

What was the difficult about this art project was creating the image of two blended or hybrid animals because it was also hard to choose two animals that would work well together. Choosing the new background and also keeping fresh layers of animals was not easy. I demonstrated the objective in this activity by blending the two animals together in order to create a morphed or hybrid animal. If I could do this art activity again, I would choose different animals because the ones I choice did not work well together.

Assignment 5- Polaroid Project

The strongest technical aspect of my work is the use of duplicating layers and the marquee tool. These tools were the most commonly used throughout the whole project. I could improve on the background of my work. This project is not completed so more use of the marquee tool would complete the project. The easiest part about this art activity was choosing the picture and the background. This was not a hard aspect of the project.

The most difficult aspect of this art activity was keeping track of each polaroid and where it was on my image. I demonstrated the objective of creating the illusion of overlapping polaroids by duplicating my layers of polaroids over the image. If I could do this project again I would choose a different picture and also choose a solid background, that is one layer and not broken up into many sections.
